Quarterly Sunday Morning Concerts
In our effort to expand our reach in the community, we are doing a quarterly concert series. Hilary Marckx and Christiane Swartz are part of the Sonoma County music community, playing together at venues across Sonoma and Mendocino counties. Hilary has been writing and singing his own songs for many years, and Christiane now does this as well. Through their many contacts, Hilary has been able to schedule some amazing talent for this series of special events. Be sure to watch our Facebook page for announcements on who will be appearing at these Sunday morning concerts in the coming months.

2nd Sunday
Join us on 2nd Sunday for a congregational choice worship service followed by a potluck luncheon. Hilary and our amazing worship band lead the singing, but you can help pick the songs.
Wednesday Open Mic
Music is a huge part of our ministry, and we have recently opened our doors to a community open mic nite. If you are a musician or singer, please join us. We have resumed these gatherings!
GCC in the Community
Our church believes in getting outside the walls of our church. In May we have a food booth at Geyserville's May Day Celebration. In December we are the guest Chef's for the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce monthly Member's Dinner to raise money for our Pastoral Fund and Holiday Gift Baskets. Our Pastor and Christiane Swartz are involved in Guitars for Vets in Sonoma County. In warmer weather, we provide cold water and snacks to passing bicylists or walkers.
Our Pastoral Fund
For fifteen of Pastor Hilary Marckx' years at Geyserville Christian Church, he has administered our Pastoral Fund. This fund is available, at the pastor's discretion, to help anyone in need. A bulk of the money raised each year at holiday time goes to provide "Holiday Baskets" to needy families in the Geyserville area. The staff at local schools and the Boys and Girls Club help to identify those families.
Each family receives a quantity of holiday and everyday food staples including a chicken or turkey. Each family member also receives a gift. Gin'Gilli's Vintage, Bosworth & Son, and the local fire department have all been involved in collecting toys for distribution with the holiday baskets, making sure each child receives a toy. Pastor Hilary also makes sure there is a small gift for each of the adults in each household, as well.
While the toy collection fills needs for the kids, many of the needed donations come in the form of cash. At the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce Members Dinner in December a collection is taken. We are always extremely blessed by the generosity of our community. The Geyserville Kiwanis Club, which counts Hilary as a member, also takes a collection from its members, matching individual gifts with club funds. All of these funds go towards purchasing food, gifts, wrapping paper, etc.
Because of the generosity of the Kiwanians and local community, there is usually a surplus that allows Hilary to take care of needs throughout the year. To read more about the Pastoral Fund, use the link below to read Deborah Serval's article in the Towns Section of the Press Democrat Online.
